A READER asks: Does anyone know if it is true that the new units being built on Ring Rd/Lower Rd are intended to house ex-prisoners?

    I heard a few months ago that it was for Hayes Jail Prisoners.

    Obvious ones to ask are Derwent Valley Council. But chances of getting a truthful answer are zero in most ratepayers' experience.

    DVC didn't have any information. Enquiries are being made further up the line.
