Elimination Final: New Norfolk v Hobart at Boyer, 2pm Saturday
New Norfolk and Hobart go head to head this weekend in what is expected to be a thriller of a match, with the loser eliminated from the 2016 competition.
Both teams have done well to make into the finals this year in a season where their form has been patchy and they have both been all over the ladder. At certain times in the season it would have been seen as an impossible challenge to make it this far.
Hobart had a strong win over the Lions last weekend and it is a real possibility that the Tigers will have another win over the Eagles tomorrow, just as they did in Round 17 at Boyer. In the Eagles' last game they lost by a slim margin to the Robins and have had a week to freshen up ready to defend their proud finals traditions.
Both teams will be fighting hard to remain a competitor in the finals. This is going to be a ripper of a match that should not be missed.
In the Reserves game at 11.45am Huonville will take on Hobart and at 9.30am in the Under 18 Colts match Dodges Ferry will face Lindisfarne.
Qualifying Final: Claremont v Cygnet, at Abbotsfield Park, 2.30pm
Claremont and Cygnet both finished with the double chance and their match this weekend has the reward of a second semi-final berth against Lindisfarne and a chance at a direct path to the Grand Final. In the Reserves game at 12.30pm, Brighton will take on Lindisfarne and at 10.30am in the Under 18s Brighton will meet Southern Storm.
