IT is less than two months until this year's New Norfolk Christmas
Parade at noon on December 8. Event organiser Ngaire Glover
said inquiries had already started to come in. The theme will be peace in the world.
The New Norfolk Business Alliance has decided not to continue its Christmas Derwent Dollars Draw this year but a donor has offered to provide prizes for parade participants in a
variety of categories.
All inquiries for parade participation should be made to Ngaire on 0419
337 608 or email ngaireglover@hotmail.com (all entries need to be
registered in advance).
COVID-19 ADVICE
COVID-19 ADVICE: The following links provide official advice and information about the virus known as COVID-19.
Australia's state and federal governments are taking action to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Use the links above to source the latest advice about what you can do to protect yourself and others. Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.
This article implies that the New Norfolk Business Alliance are withdrawing funding for the Christmas Parade - that is incorrect. Please note that the New Norfolk Business Alliance actually pays for the entire Christmas Parade - a total of $5,000 each year. We haven't withdrawn funding at all - we simply did not have the resources to increase it.
ReplyDeleteUm, no, it just says "no Derwent Dollar Draw this year". Is that right or wrong? And how about some more news from the business alliance?
