Maydena hub reopening soon

THE Maydena Adventure Hub will emerge from its winter closure in the near future. Derwent Valley mayor Martyn Evans has been advised that the hub will reopen early next month, providing a cafe and petrol station service to the town as well as tourists.

Situated on Kallista Rd, the hub has been leased to a private operator who will open the business seven days a week from 8am-4pm. There is a possibility evening meals may be offered on Fridays and Saturdays.

As before the hub will continue to manage bookings for the Rail Track Rider and cater for the Top of the World tour, which will continue as per normal schedule. www.adventureforests.com.au
  • The mayor also reports there is a new chef cooking up a storm further along the road at the Lake Pedder Chalet, with no better time to visit for a meal or overnight stay at Strathgordon. www.lakepedderchalet.com.au
