Truck crash on Glenlusk Rd

MOTORISTS are asked to avoid the area of Glenlusk Rd, Glenlusk. Police say it has been reported that a truck has crashed, taking out power lines in the area.

Police are on the scene.  There are no details of injury reported at this time.

2PM UPDATE: The scene is now clear.

4PM UPDATE: TasNetworks reports that 37 customers at Glenlusk and Collinsvale are without power due to the earlier incident. TasNetworks asks motorists to avoid Collinsvale Rd, Collinsvale, while repair crews carry out their work. "The road is open to all local traffic, but please follow instructions from traffic management at the scene. We're expecting this work to be complete by 11pm," the company said in a post on Facebook. Check the TasNetworks website for updates.
