FIRST GRADE
New Norfolk went down to Claremont by three wickets at Tynwakd Park. Having first hit, the home team made 9/124 off its 50 overs. John Ferguson was the only shining light with a well-made 66 (4x4s and 1x6). Leigh Berry made 11 and Josh Walsh 12no. In reply Claremont made hard work of reaching the low total finishing at 7/128 off 30.1 overs. Joe MuCulloch has shown great form since joining the Red Caps and bowled well taking 3/26 (10). After doing well with the bat, John Ferguson took 2-19 from 5 overs and Josh Rowlands took 1-16 (2).

In the other first grade match, Molesworth I had a day it would rather forget. Playing at Cadburys and winning the toss and batting, the visitors were bundled out for the dismal total of just 26. Brad Ransley was the only batsman to score double figures with 14 (1x4). While five other batsmen were dismissed without scoring. In reply, St Anne's chased down the runs finishing 2/27 off seven overs. Chris Slater 1-6 (3) and Nathan Eiszele 1-20 (4) were the wicket takers.

SECOND GRADE
Gretna I kept its winning streak intact by demolishing Montagu Bay by 159 runs. Winning its fifth match in a row and playing at home, Gretna won the toss and had first hit, racking up the very good score of 9/232 off 50 overs. Openers Craig Cunningham 59 (8x4s) and Ben Rainbird 33 (4x4s) got the team of to a great start with a 70-run partnership. Then after a few wickets fell, batting at seven, Rhys Browning put on an excellent show of batting with a fine 71, striking seven fours and three sixes. Corey Ransley made 14 (1x4, 1x6). In reply the Sharks were bundled out for 73 runs off 21.2 overs. Coming off a big golf day, Corey Ransley put in a big one with the new ball claiming 5-32 off 10 overs. His sparring partner Azza Maddox backed up well, taking 3-36 off his 10. Jackson Ackerly took 1-0 (1) and Jordan Hastie snared the last batsman, finishing 1-2 (.2).

THIRD GRADE
Gretna II travelled to Runnymede where it went down by eight wickets. Gretna had first hit, making 8/158 off 50 overs. Opening the batting, captain Damien Hack got 30 (3x4s, 1x6). Brian Smith batted very well for 49 (7x4s) and Darrren Lennox also did very well making 20 (2x4s). The pair put on 46 for the seventh wicket. Zac Crosswell made 16. In reply Runnymede finished 2/160 off 22.3 overs. Zac Crosswell took 1-36 (6) and Brodie Glesson 1-42 (3). Darren Lennox bowled very well without luck 0-16 (5).

In the other third grade match, Bushy Park went down to Sandford at Bushy Park by 64 runs. The home side won the toss and sent in Sandford who made 10/150 off 49.1 overs. Young Blake Howlett led the way with a great spell of bowling taking 4-25 off 7.1 overs. Aaron Triffitt also did well taking 2-18 off 6 overs while Mitchell Crosswell and Trent Grant got one each. In the run chase Bushy Park was bowled out for 84 off 21.4 overs. Opener Troy Smith made 34 while keeper Shaun Fenton got 22 and Mitchell Crosswell made 12.

FOURTH GRADE
Home side Bothwell I scraped home against the Weily Park Rockers by just two runs. Bothwell had first knock, making 10/170 off 49.2 overs. Captain Cody Eyles led from the front with 39 while his dad Joey also did well with 38. Trent Rogers made 27, continuing his good form. In reply the Rockers were bowled out just two runs short from 48 overs. Wickets were shared between six bowlers with Brodie White doing very well and taking 2-14 off seven overs. Tyler White also did well 2-21 (7) as did Nathan White 2-23 (10) and Peter Hansch 2-26 (6). The Bucks have now won six of their eight matches.

Montagu Bay easily accounted for New Norfolk II by seven wickets at Geilston Bay. Batting first, the Red Caps lost nine for just 51 runs off 18.1 overs. Ashley Morgan did not bat. Dylan Morgan down the order had the best score of nine. In reply, the Sharks lost just three wickets in the run chase, finishing 3/53 off 12.1 overs. Nathan Cashion bowled very well taking 2-17 (6) and captain Jamie Hill took 1-16 off 3.

The young Molesworth II side was demolished by Marquis Tigers by a whopping 286 runs at the Lansdowne ground. Having first hit the Tigers amassed 8/405 from their 50 overs. Some bowlers figures read like a burst dam, but Jeremy Nichols tried very hard taking 4-62 off 10 while Kyle Walker took 1-32 (4) and opener Jye County 1-36 (10). In reply the visitors were bowled out for 119 off 28.4 overs. Sam Triffitt made 37 with seven boundaries. Brayden Chaplin made 22 with nearly all coming in his five boundaries while Jake Foster did have to run, scoring 18 with 3x4s and 1x6. Kyle Walker remained 11no (2x4s).

SIXTH GRADE
New Norfolk III had a very good seven-wicket win over Sandford at Tynwald Park. The visitors had first knock and were skittled for just 63 off 25.5 overs. Two of their batsmen sharing the highest score of six runs. Graeme Rowlands opened the bowling taking 3-23 (10). Shannon Long got 2-12 (3) while Lachlan Dootson 1-7 (3) and Trent Mayne 1-6 (0.5). In reply New Norfolk reached the target finishing 3/67 off just 9 overs. Andrew Callander opened the batting and remained 26no (4x4s) and Shannon Long made 16no (2x4s, 1x6). Trent Mayne 10 (2x4s).

At Weily Park, Bothwell II went down to the Rockers by nine wickets. Losing the toss and sent in, the Bucks were bowled out for 133 off 38.4 overs. Stuart Eyles top-scored with 34 while captain Nathan Eyles got 17 and Adrain Branch made 14. In reply Weily Park lost just one wicket finishing 1-134 off 39.4 overs. Clinton Millhouse was the wicket taker with 1-35 (7).
