Burst main cuts water supply

A BURST water main has interrupted water supply to Humphrey St, Peppermint Hill and surrounding areas of New Norfolk this morning. TasWater reported the burst at 9am. Crews are at the scene and the repair time was first estimated at five hours with water supplies expected to return to normal by 2pm.

TasWater has apologised for the inconvenience to customers. Updates are being provided on its website.

1.30pm update: TasWater reports that repairs have been completed and water supply restored.
  • TasWater is the new statewide company that replaced the regional company Southern Water that replaced the local company Hobart Water that replaced the service we used to get from the council.

  1. Water pressure on trevor tce was low before pipe break.Is now even lower.May as well be trickle fed.Takes half hour to get wet in shower!
