Huonville v New Norfolk at Huonville at 2pm Saturday
NEW Norfolk are on the road to the Huon Valley this weekend to face Huonville after making a mockery of a Kingborough team who didn’t give a whimper last weekend at Boyer Oval. How will Huonville silence the “unstoppable” Nathan Ross and 2012 William Leitch Medalist Michael Thompson who kicked 10 goals between them last week, not to mention the other forward targets from the Eagles such as Zeke Gardam who bagged six goals last round?
New Norfolk have lost only one game so far this season and are coming off massive victories over the other four teams in the final five. However, Huonville will give themselves every chance of causing an upset at home where they are a much tougher opponent.
The Huonville player who gets the job on Ross will have a sleepless night, as the “Weapon” has been in sparkling form all season and continues to bob up and put the icing on the cake with no-one seemingly his match in the competition.
Huonville will simply need first hands on the football and try and stay in the contest in each quarter to do what no-one but Claremont has done since Round 1, but it’s expected that the Eagles will be too strong once again as they prepare for September action.
