It's soccer season again

NEW Norfolk Soccer Club reports from last weekend.

Under 6 Red: "Well done to Under 6 Red who played a great game against Brighton Black. You all played an excellent game."

Under 6 Black had a bye.

Under 7 Red: "A great start to the season with a home game against Brighton. Everyone worked very well together showing some great teamwork."

Under 7 Black: Played a good season opener at Bagdad. "It was an all-round good team effort and welcome to players new to the team – Mikayla, Tristan and Oliver."

Under 8: Game was cancelled due to the opposition team pulling out. "The Under 8s still had fun by playing a practice match within their team."

Under 9: Had a draw with Brighton. "Well done to Jenny and Caylin on playing their first games and to our goal scorers Oliver and Cruez."

Under 10 had a bye.

Under 11: Defeated Brighton Maroon at Tynwald Park. "Great play by all team members signalling a fantastic start to the season. Goal scorers Levi 5, Dylan 4, Jed 3, Brayden 2, Josh 2, Lane 1, Jacob 1. Great teamwork by Blake, Ella and Lucy also."

Under 14 had a bye.

Under 16: Played a grading game against Glenorchy Knights. Although they lost it was a good learning experience.

Division 4: In their first game of the season the team achieved a convincing win against DOSA-Friends. The final score was 5-3 with goals from Colin Banks and Dylan Styles as well as a superb hat-trick from Luke Slater on debut. "Saturday 12th is our first home game at Tynwald Park against Cygnet at 2.30pm, come along and cheer us on!"
