NEW Norfolk Soccer Club reports:
Under 6 Red had a bye.
Under 6 Black played a great first game against Holy Rosary Maroon. Well done boys.
Under 7 Red played New Norfolk Under 7 Black. "It was a great game to watch. There were a few big kicks from both sides, well done to both teams - good effort by all players."
Under 8 played a great game against Brighton White at Brighton.
Under 9 had a great game on a soggy field against Dominic. "Everyone gave it their best. Congratulations to Maiken, Cruez and Caleb, our goal scorers. Also a big thank you to Oliver and Abby on filling in for Dominic. Well done guys, we are all proud of you."
Under 10: "A very fast paced game was had by the Under 10s for their first of the season, with a win against Dominic Maroon 3-0. Goals were kicked by Aidan 2 and Freya 1. Some unbelievable defence work from Ostyn, Brock, Alex G, Alex M, Jacob and Kiara. And great stops by our two goalies for the night, Alex B and Luke. Well done guys ... the last five weeks of training has really paid off."
Under 11 defeated Glenorchy Knights 5-0 in an intense game at Tynwald Park. Goal scorers Brayden 4 and Dylan 1. "Great team effort, well done Under 11."
Under 14 played against Nelson at North Warrane.
Under 16 played Olympia at Tynwald Park.
Seniors Div 4: "It was another great performance from the Division 4 side this week despite losing to Cygnet. The team twice fought back from being two goals down and almost snatched a last gasp equaliser with seconds left on the clock. Standout performances this week from Ollie Chaplin and goalkeeper Alan Kalbfell. Goalscorers were Colin Banks, Ollie Chaplin and Dylan Styles with a spectacular free kick. Final score Cygnet 4 to New Norfolk 3."
