Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.

Friday road weather warning

Road Weather Alert
for the Upper Derwent Valley, Western, Central Plateau, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts

Issued at 10:07pm on Thursday 27 August 2015.

Snow covered roads above 300 metres will make driving conditions dangerous during Friday in parts of the Western, Central Plateau, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts.
For information on any road closures, please contact your local council or the Police.

The next alert will be issued by 5am Friday.
