New hardware store taking shape

AFTER two months of site works, construction of the new Mitre 10 premises in New Norfolk took a leap forward last week. Stretching across a town centre block from Charles St to Stephen St, the big new shop is being erected by Hutchinson Builders.

More than two-thirds of the new hardware store's tilt-panel concrete walls went up during the week, forming the main part of the building. Still to come are the walls that will form the garden centre at the Charles St end of the building and the timber and building supplies section at the Stephen St end.
