Round 2 - Provided by SFL League Management
New Norfolk v Lindisfarne at Boyer, 2pm Saturday
NEW Norfolk was defeated by Cygnet in Round 1, but with a strong week on the training track and more match practice than Lindisfarne the Eagles could be seen as favourites to take the points tomorrow. This will be Lindisfarne’s first game of the season as it had a bye last weekend.
That being said, at the completion of last year’s roster season New Norfolk finished second on the ladder and Lindisfarne was third, so this will be a very close match with all players in both camps eager to play each other once again.
Both teams will be enthusiastic for points early in the season so they will both put up a good fight and judging from previous seasons, this game could go either way.
Claremont v Cygnet at Abbotsfield Park, 2pm
This should be a close game but the reigning premiers may prove themselves to be a little bit stronger.
Huonville Lions v Hobart at Huonville, 2pm
This will be a worthy contest to watch as both teams have the players to really turn it on and it may come down to the hometown support for the Lions to will tem to their second win of the season.
Brighton v Sorell at Pontville, 2pm
Brighton’s track record on its home ground has been a little inconsistent over the last couple of seasons, so it’s not clear how this match will go, but the Robins will need to play more than one outstanding quarter of football against a determined Sorell.
