"The Co-op is currently organising fresh fruit and vegetables for the community, offering free delivery or pick-up," Mr Blegg said. Deliveries are made in the New Norfolk area on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Bank transfer is being used to lower the infection risks associated with cash.
Mr Blegg said all members of the co-operative were volunteers and they looked forward to hosting a free community event when the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
Deliveries of bread and other baked goods are now being offered by the New Norfolk Banjo's Bakery Cafe following a successful trial yesterday. Deliveries will initially be made on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, including a weekly run to Maydena, Ellendale and surrounding areas. A minimum $20 order is required but there is no delivery fee. Visit the dedicated Facebook page for delivery details, product lines and contact details.
Top of the Town Bakery is also offering a free home delivery service for orders of $20 or more. Deliveries will be made by 3pm the day after orders are placed. This bakery is also taking orders for Easter, closing next Tuesday, April 7. Visit its Facebook page for the available products and prices.
New Norfolk's three supermarkets are still operating, the New Norfolk Popup Providore has established a temporary shop in High St, and The Kinky Kale is still delivering its vegetable boxes. The farmers market operated by Jessica Cosgrove last Saturday has been suspended by the operator.

Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.
