TWO online activities have been launched by the Derwent Valley Youth Future Action Team (D'FAT) to replace their previously planned school holiday program.

Starting today is "Scratch", a free online competition for participants aged six to 13, enabling them to create their own interactive stories, games and animations. From now until April 27, D'FAT is looking for the best stories on the theme "what is great about the Derwent Valley."

There are prizes available and the stories will be published on D'FAT's Facebook group. For more information including instructions about how to join the competition, click here.

Supported by the Salvation Army, this activity is a Children's University validated learning activity. Children's University Tasmania is operated by the Peter Underwood Centre for Educational Attainment at the University of Tasmania.
