Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.

Salvos seek community views

THE Salvation Army's Communities for Children program wants to hear from parents of children aged 0-12 in the Derwent Valley as it goes through the development of a four-year strategic plan.

Information collected through an anonymous survey or confidential discussions will help the program to identify the strengths and needs of local communities.

Anyone who would like to have a say and provide the Communities for Children program with their views on the strengths and needs of the community, including programs and activities that operate in the area, can do so via one of the following options:
