Bushfire afternoon update

MAGRA/DROMEDARY FIRE: The fire is currently burning quietly within the Mt Dromedary Conservation Area and poses no immediate threat to communities. Remote-area firefighters are currently on-site, working to contain the fire.

All walking tracks and vehicle tracks in the Mt Dromedary Conservation Area are closed.

Light winds are expected Sunday afternoon and this may result in visible smoke and fire activity within the burnt area as conditions warm up.

Water bombing helicopters are being used to assist firefighters. Please be aware of helicopters operating at low altitudes in the vicinity. Please keep clear. Click here for the latest information on this fire.

GLENFERN/MT LLOYD: The bushfire at Plenty Valley Rd, Glenfern, remains at Advice level. There is no immediate threat although fire under these conditions can be difficult to control.

Crews are working on blackening out the area this afternoon. Smoke, ash and embers may be affecting the Mt Lloyd and Glenfern area. Click here for the latest information on this fire.
