Barnett pads up for Gretna

Guy Barnett in the nets at Gretna
Cricket Club last week.
GOVERNMENT minister and Liberal Member for Lyons, Guy Barnett MHA, came along to the Gretna Cricket Club's senior training night last week.

Mr Barnett said if the Liberals were to be re-elected in March, he would help the to club seek funding to build the change rooms which the club are badly lacking.

With two senior and two junior teams, the situation is inadequate to say the least, and with female cricket growing rapidly in Tasmania, added change rooms are a must.

Mr Barnett was put through his paces in the nets, facing the bowling machine, and he didn’t disappoint. He looked very comfortable and had an array of batting strokes. Well played and thank you Mr Barnett for taking the time to call in and hear how the club is going.
