Storm knocks out power supplies

ELECTRICITY company TasNetworks is investigating a loss of power supply in parts of the Derwent Valley this evening as severe thunderstorm passes through the area.


Some 94 customers in New Norfolk are expected to be without power until 9.30pm due to lightning in the area. Nineteen customers at Lachlan are presently being advised to check the TasNetworks website after 7.30pm for an update.
