Fine weather for ducks

WITH a minor flood warning in place for the River Derwent, the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting further rises in the level of the river and some of its tributaries during today, including the Tyenna and Styx.

The river level is higher than normal in New Norfolk today but no flooding is expected. Despite the river staying within its banks, ducks and other birds were out in force at the Esplanade this morning.
