Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.

Edwards named state Olympic president

THE Australian Olympic Committee has named Molesworth's Anthony Edwards as president of the Tasmanian Olympic Council. The five-time Olympian and triple Olympic medallist retired from competitive rowing after the London Games.

The State Olympic Council presidents are charged with the task of fundraising, education and promoting the Olympic Movement in the lead up to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. The Tasmanian Olympic Council works with athletes of all ages promoting sport and the Olympic movement and is actively involved in assisting Tasmanian athletes to achieve their goal of competing in Olympic Games.
