THE Agrarian Kitchen Eatery has been named Tasmania's second-best restaurant just 10 weeks after opening at its historic premises in New Norfolk.
Gourmet Traveller Australia this week ranked the Agrarian Kitchen Eatery and Store at number two on its top-10 Tasmanian restaurants of 2017. The food, wine and lifestyle magazine also announced that the popular New Norfolk business had also scraped into its top 100 restaurants in Australia.
Owned by Rodney Dunn and Severine Demanet, the restaurant is an offshoot of the well-established Agrarian Kitchen cooking school at Lachlan. Located in the former Bronte House at the Willow Court historic site, the eatery and store opened in mid-June and has received rave reviews and frequent media coverage.
Celebrating the Gourmet Traveller accolade on social media earlier today, the Agrarian Kitchen said they were proud of their entire team for the achievement of 99th place in the TOP 100 Australian restaurants. "Not bad for only being open for two months," they said on Instagram.
