Warning of a frosty Friday

Frost Warning
for the North West Coast, Central North, North East, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts

Issued at 10:02am on Thursday 31 August 2017.


Severe frosts with temperatures down to -4 degrees which can cause significant crop damage are forecast for Friday morning in parts of the Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts

Frosts with temperatures down to -3 degrees are forecast for Friday morning in parts of the North West Coast, Central North and North East forecast districts

Please be aware 
Temperatures at ground level can be many degrees lower than those recorded by standard weather stations, especially in calm conditions with clear skies.


No further warnings will be issued for this event.
