Warning to Sheep Graziers
for the Upper Derwent Valley, King Island, Furneaux Islands, North West Coast, Central North, North East, Midlands and South East forecast districts
Issued at 3:41pm on Thursday 10 August 2017.
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and strong westerly winds are expected during Friday. Areas likely to be affected include the North West Coast forecast district and parts of the King Island, Furneaux Islands, Central North, North East, Midlands, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
The next warning will be issued by 11pm Thursday.
