Minor Flood Warning for the River Derwent, RIver Ouse and River Clyde

Flood Warning Number: 4
Minor flooding may occur along the River Clyde around Hamilton late on Monday.
Minor flooding has eased along the River Ouse. Minor flooding is not expected to extend downstream to Macquarie Plains and New Norfolk during Monday and Tuesday. Forecast rainfall from Tuesday night may result in renewed river rises.
Strong river rises have been observed in other parts of the River Derwent during Sunday and Monday. River levels are likely remain below their minor flood levels during Monday and Tuesday.
In the 72 hours to 9am Monday, widespread rainfall totals of 50 to 75mm were reported about the Derwent catchment, with isolated higher totals up to 120 mm and snow at higher elevations. No significant rainfall is forecast until overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
Strong and dangerous flows may remain a hazard throughout the Derwent Catchment over the next few days.
River Ouse:
No further flooding is expected along the River Ouse.
The River Ouse at Ashton is currently at 2.00 metres and falling. The River Ouse at Ashton peaked around the minor flood level (2.50 metres) Monday morning and are easing.River levels in the River Ouse at Ouse peaked Monday morning and are easing.
River Clyde:
Minor flooding may occur along the River Clyde around Hamilton during Monday.
The River Clyde at Bothwell is currently at 1.56 metres and falling. The River Clyde at Bothwell peaked below the minor flood level (2.00 m) Monday morning.The River Clyde at Hamilton may reach the minor flood level (2.40 m) late Monday.
Tyenna River:
River levels are easing in the Tyenna River.
Styx River:
River levels are easing in the Styx River.
River Derwent below Meadowbank Dam:
River levels below Meadowbank Dam are likely remain below their minor flood levels during Monday and Tuesday.
River Derwent around New Norfolk:
Minor flooding is not expected to extend downstream to Macquarie Plains and New Norfolk during Monday and Tuesday.
