New Norfolk soccer team into grand final

The New Norfolk League 4 soccer players coming off the field.
NEW Norfolk has finished on top of the League 4 soccer ladder and will contest the grand final this Tuesday.

The last weekend in August saw the final round of the soccer season for New Norfolk’s League 4 senior team. This is a social league and New Norfolk's players range from 17 to 50 years and this year includes four sets of brothers in the team of 20.

The majority of this team has been together for a few years and it’s great to see their teamwork and camaraderie has culminated in winning the minor premiership this year. On top of that they are finalists in the League 4 Cup and two New Norfolk players finished in the Top 5 of the League 4 Golden Boot (goal scorers).

It’s been an exciting season for players and their families and they are hoping they can finish the season by being crowned League 4 Cup winners at Football Federation Tasmania headquarters at KGV Oval in Glenorchy this Tuesday night (September 4) at 8.15pm.
