  1. Our new Annual Plan for 2019 - 2020 has a program for Corporate Services & Community Servics. The program includes Human Resource Management.."Council's staff are the most valuable resources of Council. Significant attention will be given to lifting the maturity of human resource related functions at Council over the next three years in recognition of this value."

It is very encouraging to note first hand our "most valuable resource" stepping up to demonstrate maturity related to functions at Coucil. “We have received multiple requests from members at Derwent Valley Council to assist with the election of Health and Safety Representatives in accordance with the Health and Safety Act 2012,” an ASU spokesman said.

It is also worth noteing that wellbeing is one of the five values that are most important. "We demonstrate duty of care for ourselves, our team mates and our community in all that we do. We value the health and wellbeing of our staff and community." Therefore staff taking the opportunity to ask for assistence to help to develop a positive workplace culture is very good news.
