FANS of local and family history will find much to like in a new book about the Plenty district and the Glenleith property in particular. Written by former resident Steve Balmforth, Glenleith Memories and Stories records the establishment of the property and the families involved, with memories and stories provided by a number of locals who grew up, lived and worked on the property.
The book is 100 pages, A4 size, perfect bound, with more than 170 photographs. It includes chapters on families including the Balmforths, Harwoods, Shaws, Woolfords, Menzies, Rainbirds, McMahons and many others.
