Parade ready to roll

Participants in last year's parade
NEARLY 40 entries have been received for this year's New Norfolk Christmas Parade, which will set off down High St at noon this Saturday. As always, the pageant will complete two laps of High St.

High St will be closed from 11.30am until 1pm and everyone in the area is asked to observe the directions of State Emergency Service personnel who will be managing the road closures.

After the parade, participation awards will be announced outside the council chambers at 1pm. The Derwent Scottish Pipe Band will perform outside the post office for a short while after the parade.

Late entries can be registered with Ngaire Glover by calling 0419 337 608.

  • The Derwent Valley Carols by Candlelight will be held at Tynwald Park, New Norfolk, at 7.30pm this Monday, December 10, organised by the Lions Club of New Norfolk.
