Warning: icy roads and frost

Road Weather Alert for Tasmania
for Upper Derwent Valley, Midlands and South East forecast districts

Issued at 5:04pm on Tuesday 31 May 2016.

Icy roads will make driving conditions dangerous during Wednesday morning in parts of the Midlands, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts.

For information on any road closures, please contact your local council or the Police.
The next alert will be issued by 11pm Tuesday

Frost Warning
for the Upper Derwent Valley, North West Coast, Central North, North East, Midlands, East Coast and South East forecast districts

Issued at 4:01pm on Tuesday 31 May 2016.

Frosts with temperatures down to -2 degrees are forecast for Wednesday morning in parts of the North West Coast, Central North, North East, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts

Please be aware: Temperatures at ground level can be many degrees lower than those recorded by standard weather stations, especially in calm conditions with clear skies.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
