Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Let's talk about numeracy and literacy

PUBLIC NOTICE

Time to grab the bull by the horns!

We all have things that we put off! For some of us, it’s new glasses, for others, the dentist. Some people have spent lifetimes wishing they could swim, and others have always felt they’d like to write down their life stories. Let’s make 2019 the year we stop putting things off!

Anyone and everyone from the Derwent Valley is invited to a free afternoon tea at the Derwent Valley Community House to talk about getting help with literacy and numeracy, or to find out how to support someone else. The Hearing Australia hearing test bus will also be on site, for those people who have put off having a test for way too long.

Let’s make 2019 the year we do the things we have all put off! One day, you’ll look back and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner! See you there, at the Derwent Valley Community House, corner of Blair and Charlotte streets, New Norfolk, 1.30pm on the 28th of February.
Philomena van Rijswijk
26TEN Project Officer for the Derwent Valley
