Community grants close Friday

APPLICATIONS for funding under the Derwent Valley Council's community grants program close this Friday afternoon. Despite the large number of applications received for the first round of grants earlier this financial year, a second and smaller round of grants is now open.

The Derwent Valley Community Grants Program provides financial and in-kind assistance to support not-for-profit community organisations, cultural and sporting groups. Applications which have broad community benefit are given priority.

Applications for between $200 and $500 will be considered, and need to be submitted to before the close of business on May 6. Application packages can be collected from the Derwent Valley Council office, Circle St, New Norfolk or by contacting Melinda Pearce on 6261 8512.
