Election latest

THE Tasmanian Electoral Commission is making quick work of the counting of votes in today's Legislative Council by-election for Derwent. Despite swings against Labor in many booths, Craig Farrell has a sizeable lead, ahead of Jenny Branch, Ray Williams, Deirdre Flint and Phillip Bingley in that order.
