Sorell v New Norfolk at Pembroke Park – 2pm
THINGS won’t get any easier for Sorell when they return home to Pembroke Park to take on a rampaging New Norfolk this weekend. The young Sorell players will need to wear the Derwent Valley midfield like a glove in the battle of the two SFL Eagles teams.
As much as the headlines highlighted the impact of Brendan Fevola’s 16 goals in New Norfolk’s last game, the tally would not have been possible without the dominance of onballers Nathan Ross and Roger Belcher who also converted eight goals between them and won the ball in contests out of the centre and when resting up forward at will.
If New Norfolk open the floodgates early with Michael Thompson returning to the key post it could be all over very early, with the prediction being for New Norfolk to register another percentage booster.
