Australia's state and federal governments are taking action to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Use the links above to source the latest advice about what you can do to protect yourself and others. Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.

Hopfest 2014 - save the date

THE sixth annual Derwent Valley Concert Band "Hopfest" will br held on April 12. This year's theme is Saturday Night Fever and the band invites friends and supporters to frock up and strap on their dancing shoes to dance the night away with live entertainment from the Terrazzo Brothers.

Think mini and maxi, flares and florals, loud ties and long sideburns, hippies and hipsters, glam and punk rock, classic rock and disco.

Tickets are $35 per person, which includes dinner. Tickets are available from the Derwent Valley Council or from DVCB members. Any inquiries can be directed to Maree on 0467 442 257.

This is an over-18s event, with wine and beer will be on sale as well as soft drinks. A DJ will entertain when the band takes a break.
