Lunchtime wait for power

ELEVEN properties at New Norfolk remain without electricity after a falling tree brought down power lines and started a grassfire at Rocks Rd last night.

The initial incident just before 7pm caused power interruptions to a wider area but most streets had their supply restored with an hour.

More than 70 properties were without power late into the night and TasNetworks estimates power will be restored to the remaining 11 properties by 1pm today.
