Lyell Highway roadworks

ROADWORKS are continuing at several locations on the Lyell Highway between New Norfolk and Bronte.

There will be frequent lane closures and delays of up to 15 minutes while work continues on the reconstruction of a 2.5km section highway leading to Ouse. Works are being carried out between 7am and 7pm, with a 60km/h speed limit in force. Sealing is being carried out this week. February 14 is the scheduled completion date.

Major reconstruction continues on the highway between Hollow Tree Rd and Hamilton. A reduced speed limit applies, with frequent lane closures during working hours between 7am and 6pm until February 23.

Further maintenance will be carried out on road pavement on the Lyell Hwy (Hobart Rd) outside
Tynwald Park at New Norfolk today and tomorrow. There will be a reduced speed limit with frequent lane closures during working hours between 9am and 4pm, as well as a reduced speed limit after hours.

Repairs are also being carried out at the junction of the Lyell Hwy and Marlborough Rd near Bronte, starting yesterday and continuing until February 28. Between 8am and 4.30pm there is a reduced speed limit with frequent lane closures.
