New driveway to bypass access problem

Works now under way in Humphrey St will provide a driveway
to the Masonic Lodge and Lions Club within Willow Court.
IT'S about five years overdue but work has now started on the construction of a new road access to the premises of the Lions Club and Masonic Lodge at Willow Court.

The new access off Humphrey St was required because of the decision of the Derwent Valley Council to sell most of the roads within the Willow Court site when the heritage precinct was subdivided.

The original vehicular access along the front of the conjoined Masonic Lodge and New Norfolk Lions Club buildings was sold to a neighbouring property owner and it is understood that provision of a new access at ratepayers' expense was part of the subdivision plan.

    Everything seems to take time, what has happened to where the fire was on the high street, what had happened to the old Willow Court building that was supposed to be apartments, that's stopped! A new woollies on the Oval, nothing seems to be happening, AGAIN!!! So please do tell us folk that live here, why the delays, surely everybody wants to see progress in our town. The only thing going ahead is ZAP, is this because the builders etc need to get fit first!!!
