Storm warning cancelled

CANCELLATION SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING

Issued at 5:50 pm Wednesday, 19 February 2014.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in Tasmania/Antarctica. The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary. Some thunderstorms observed on radar this afternoon have probably been severe.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 13 25 00.
