THE Federal Government's mobile service centre will return to the Derwent Valley this week. Having visited New Norfolk, Maydena, Hamilton and Ouse last October, it will be Westerway's turn this Wednesday.

Essentially a large truck with a "pop out" office, the mobile service centre travels through rural and regional communities to provide personalised face-to-face access to information and services.

Staff on board the mobile service centres can provide information, assistance and support to older Australians, families, students, jobseekers, people with disability, carers, farmers, and self-employed people.

The vehicle will be parked near the Westerway Roadhouse between 9am and 2pm this Wednesday, March 4, after which it will be heading off to the West Coast.
