Fairview fire was arson

POLICE say a fire that badly damaged a vacant house at Fairview this morning was deliberately lit. The New Norfolk Fire Brigade responded to the incident in Fairfax Terrace at about 1am.

A fire watch was maintained overnight and investigators have determined that the fire was deliberate and caused damage amounting to $300,000.
