Lyell Highway restricted again

POLICE advise that the Lyell Highway between Derwent Bridge and Mt Arrowsmith is only accessible to four-wheel-drive vehicles at present. The section between Mt Arrowsmith and Queenstown is also snow-affected in some areas today.

Road Weather Alert for Western, Central Plateau and Upper Derwent Valley forecast districts

Snow covered roads above 600 metres will make driving conditions dangerous during Monday in parts of the Western, Central Plateau and Upper Derwent Valley forecast districts.


For information on any road closures, please contact your local council or the Police.


The next alert will be issued by 5pm Monday.
