Local cricket catch-up

ROUND 8 of the Kookaburra Southern Cricket Association men's 50-over competition is being played this weekend. This is the first round since prior to Christmas.

The KSCA women’s roster resumes on January 20, but due to New Norfolk having the bye, its match will be on February 3.

The Hurricanes Junior League resumes on February 3. In the last round before Christmas, the Under  13s game on December 16 between New Norfolk and North Hobart at Boyer Oval was washed out.

In the Under 15s on the same day, New Norfolk finished on 7/88 off 20 overs to defeat Clarence 8/87 off  36.2 overs at Boyer Oval. Batting: Cameron McMaster 26 with 5 fours, Blake Sillifant 16 not out. Bowling: Josh Nichols 2-8 off 3 overs, Chris Hall 2-13 off 4 overs with 1 maiden, Blake Sillifant 1-8 off 3.2 overs, Jack Morgan 1-8 off 3 overs with 1 maiden, Jordon Gittus 1-10 off 4 overs, Cameron McMaster 1-13 off 3 overs.
