Remote rescue

A VICTORIAN woman was evacuated from Strathgordon after a motorcycle accident yesterday. The 46-year-old had been a pillion passenger and was injured after the rider lost control on gravel verge off Gordon River Rd. She was retrieved from the Lake Pedder Chalet and flown to Hobart in the Westpac rescue helicopter. Strathgordon is the westernmost outpost in the Derwent Valley municipality.
