Junior cricket registration coming up

GRETNA Cricket Club will again be fielding Under 13 and Under 15 teams in the Cricket Tasmania Youth League Competition this summer.

The Under 13s will be coached by Darren Stevenson and the Under 15s by Owen Browning. Registration day will be Friday, September 16, at the Gretna sports ground from 4.30pm. A barbecue will be provided. Training will start on Friday, September 23, at Gretna at 4.30pm.

The registration fee for the 2011-12 season will again be $30. This covers a Gretna playing shirt, hat, trophy and affiliation fee. The $30 does not have to be paid on the registration day, but if you are able to, it would be appreciated.

If your child is unable to attend the registration day and would like to play, you can register at the first training run or phone the junior co-ordinator on 0429 704 677 to add your child to the list. This will help as the teams need to be nominated by October 7.

Junior cricket is open to boys and girls. Players must be under the specified age as at September 1, 2011. If your child turns 15 before September 1, he or she maybe still able to play as the club can request a dispensation in some circumstances.
