Mapping the Island

THE New Norfolk Courthouse Gallery will host the Tasmania 1:100,000 Mapping the Island exhibition for two days next month. This touring exhibition received rave reviews when it was first presented in the 2009
Ten Days on the Island program.

Curated by Penny Carey-Wells and Diane Perndt, it comes from a selection of national and international artists, including poets, chefs, dancers and mixed media visual artists who all received a section taken from a topographical map of Tasmania and were asked to create a response. Each piece tells its own story.

Tasmania 1:100,000 Mapping the Island Owill be at the Courthouse Gallery, Circle St, New Norfolk, from 10am-3pm on September 17 and 18. Free entry. Read more about this exhibition here.
