Meadowbank bushfire update

Bushfire Advice Message


MEADOWBANK ROAD, MEADOWBANK

Current from: 27/02/2012 01:10 PM until: 29/02/2012 06:10 PM or further notice

There is a large bushfire at Meadowbank Rd, Meadowbank.

The fire danger rating in this area is forecast to be low-moderate.

44 crews are currently on site, working to contain and bring the fire under control.

This bushfire is currently not controlled.

Smoke will continue to emanate from the fire and hang in the Derwent Valley .

Reported Road Closures: Meadowbank Rd

Visibilty may be affected when travelling on the Lyell Highway and other roads in the area due to smoke. Tasmania Police will be patrolling roads in the area.
