Trophy talk at cricket reunion

A GREAT afternoon was had at the Derwent Valley Cricket Association old players reunion held at the New Norfolk RSL Club on Saturday last week. Many memories were re-lived over a beer or two with many stories stretching back to the early days of the association. Organiser Tony Adams was happy with the roll up considering the short notice. "Yes it was a good afternoon, it was great to catch up, we hope to have another reunion in 12 months time," he said.

Former DVCA secretary of around 23 years, David Mann, agreed it would be great to hold another. "If we all help Tony and get the word out there it will make for another great reunion," he said.

Former player Robbie Crane, who ended up 99 not out after all his stories, is wondering if anyone knows the whereabouts of the 1973 winning Country Week team photo and scorebook? If you have any information you can contact me on 0429 704 677.
