Southern cricket, round 17

2nd GRADE: New Norfolk scored a convincing victory over Hobart on Saturday. New Norfolk 0 for 176 off 26.3 overs (16 extras) defeated Hobart 10 for 171 off 36 overs (16 extras). New Norfolk batting: Jake King 104 not out, Rohan Heron 57no. New Norfolk bowling: Josh Rowlands 5 for 57 off 8 overs (one maiden), Stewart Rice 3 for 29 off 8 overs, Jamie Maddox 1 for 32 off 10 overs, Rohan Heron 1 for 48 off 10 overs.

In the match at Boyer Oval, Molesworth I put to bed any chance of Gretna I making the finals, with a convincing 7 wicket victory. Gretna won the toss and elected to bat making 148 off 43 overs (7 extras). In reply Molesworth was just too good, chasing down the runs finishing 3 for 150 off just 19.2 overs (8 extras).
