Washing your hands for 20 seconds is one of the most effective forms of infection control. Do this after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; after close physical contact with anyone who is unwell; after using the toilet; before and after eating; before, during and after preparing food; and after feeding or touching a pet.

Santa's Christmas Eve schedule

THE New Norfolk Fire Brigade will help Santa Claus to get around New Norfolk tomorrow afternoon and evening before heading off on his work for the night.

The fire brigade will drive Santa around as many local streets as possible, stopping at the following locations to distribute lollies.

* All times are approximate. Don't worry if Santa isn't right on time.

  • Tynwald Park, 2.30pm*
  • Ellis Dean Reserve, 4pm*
  • Dewernt Valley Sport and Recreation Centre, 6pm*
  • Henry Cresent bike park, 7.30pm*
  • Magra Fire Station, 8.30pm*
  • Oakdale Estate, 9.30pm*
